About Armonía
Armonía is a Houston-based non-profit organization dedicated to advancing Latino/a music education by providing resources, musical compositions, events, and teacher training that celebrate and preserve the rich traditions of Latin music. Founded by Eric Jimenez, Armonía is committed to empowering educators and students through initiatives that focus on mariachi, tejano, conjunto, banda sinaloense, salsa, bachata, merengue, classical, and music production in school music programs.
With a mission to create inclusive and culturally relevant educational experiences, Armonía is actively working to integrate Latino/a music traditions into classrooms and community programs across the United States. The organization supports music educators with access to culturally authentic compositions, professional development, and performance opportunities, ensuring that Latino/a heritage is represented and celebrated within music education.
Armonía’s inaugural initiatives include collaborations with music educators, local artists, and cultural institutions to develop educational resources and host events that highlight the vibrancy of Latino/a music. As part of its broader vision, Armonía aims to inspire a new generation of musicians and educators while fostering cultural pride and understanding through music.
Our mission is to cultivate cultural roots, broaden musical opportunities, and empower Latino/a artists and educators through accessible music education, performance, and community-driven programs.

“When students see their culture in the classroom, it changes everything. That’s the future we’re building—with a music education that reflects who they are.”
— Eric Jimenez, Founder of Armonía
